Neymar is thriving at Barca. Currently an integral figure in MSN, the Brazilian continues to show he is the future of the Blaugrana’s attack.
However, according to Sport, not everything is well in the Selecao ace’s camp. The newspaper claims that the South American sensation is “uncomfortable” at Camp Nou and is thus pondering a move away from Barca.
The theme behind this report is Neymar’s desire to become the world’s best player. Although he has shown glimpses of being the best, team-mate Lionel Messi stands head and shoulders above the 25-year-old.
As a result, Sport writes that advisors to the Brazilian superstar recommend Neymar leave Barca in order to step out from La Pulga’s shadow. The former Santos ace has won everywhere silverware possible with the Catalan giants, but his desire for the one trophy to evade him – the Ballon d’Or – could see him go to pastures new.
Neymar has not been far away from transfer rumors. Since arriving in La Liga, he has been linked with moves to the likes of Man City, Man United, PSG, and Real Madrid. The attacker “has listened with more interest than ever” to offers from other clubs where he could take center stage.
Barca, however, believe that their prized asset is going nowhere. His current deal expires in 2021, and his release clause currently stands at £195m.
