On Wednesday, Argentina beat Chile 1-0 thanks to Lionel Messi to move into third spot in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers. Despite scoring the winning goal, the Barca ace was livid during the game – especially towards the end.
The linesman awarded La Roja a foul for a Leo challenge, a decision which left the five-time Ballon d’Or winner furious. The 29-year-old then insulted the assistant referee.
Footage has since emerged of La Pulga’s outburst at assistant referee Marcelo Vangasse. The video, courtesy of AS, appears to show the Argentine superstar yell “F**k you & your mother's c**t”.
After the final whistle, the Albiceleste captain made sure to air his frustration with Vangasse’s officiating. Messi walked towards the referees and shook hands with all but the one he abused.
So called 'Good boy' Leo Messi insulting the linesman during & after the game vs Chile: "Fuck you & your mother's cunt."

There has been talk of a suspension for the striker. This verbal abuse of a referee is common, but unacceptable nonetheless. However, punishment could be unlikely due claims by Fox Sports Argentina that the referee did not add Messi to their report.
BTW @FOXSportsArg reporting Messi was NOT added onto referee report for insulting ref asstz.
