Gerard Pique has become sort of Barcelona's spokesman for justice. Let's see if today he has something to say about what happened on the pitch.
The Catalan defender escaped a red card twice today, as ref Jose Luis Gonzalez decided not to send him of for a gruesome tackle just outside Barcelona's box in the earlier minutes of the game. Later, the former Manchester United defender recklessly tackled Laporte after being shown a yellow card, prompting complaints from Athletic's players.
Perhaps it was a tactical decision, but even coach Luis Enrique noticed that No.3 wasn't having the best of games and decided to give way for Javier Mascherano after the break.
