Another record for Juventus, Inter's impressive winning run...and Mauro Icardi can do more than just score goals. LiveSoccerTV.com takes a look at the numbers from this past weekend's action in Serie A.

Another weekend, another round of Serie A action is done and dusted. There were quite a few surprises in this round, however, with some of the "bigger" sides suffering shock upsets across Italy. Let's take a look at what happened in Italian football's top flight and some of the numbers, stats, and facts that had calcio fans talking after matchday 22 concluded on Sunday.

1. Inter's renaissance continues...but for how long?

Every team has its turnaround moment. Last season, for Juventus, it was when they lost to Sassuolo in October. The Bianconeri then went on a winning streak that saw them lose just one game between the end of October and May en route to winning their fifth straight Scudetto. This time around, Inter's turning point just may have been their 3-0 loss to Napoli in December. Since then, Stefano Pioli's men have not just gone unbeaten, but they are winning.

On Saturday, they cruised to a 3-0 win over Pescara, and are inching closer towards matching a previously-set record:

Next up for the Nerazzurri will be Juventus...a team who are still unbeaten at home this season. It goes without saying that Sunday's Derby d'Italia clash will be one not to miss, as someone's unbeaten run (either La Vecchia Signora's long-standing home record or Inter's current run) is bound to end.

2. Mauro Icardi can do more than just score goals. No, really.

Strikers often get a bad rap for being selfish. In Icardi's case, he's proving that attackers can obviously do more than just score goals. Inter have been criticized for being too dependent on their skipper, but so far, they have won two back-to-back games...without him scoring. That does not mean that he is not contributing - and to good effect, as this stat points out:

All in all he has been directly involved in 23 goals, which is the most among Europe's top five leagues.

3. Juventus are allergic to drawing? Seems like it...

What is really helping the Bianconeri stay ahead of the chasing pack is not just the fact that they rarely lose - although they have lost four on the road this term. Rather, Massimiliano Allegri's side don't seem to drop points. At all. Over in Germany, Hoffenheim are still the only unbeaten side in Europe's Big 5 leagues, but they keep on drawing.

Not so much for the Bianconeri. In fact, they are the only team in Serie A yet to draw a game this season, and all in all have not drawn any of their past 33 Serie A games. That is an-all time league record.

Will fans see them finally draw this weekend in the much-anticipated Derby d'Italia? Or will they make it a 34th match sans recording a stalemate?

4. Need an early goal? Perhaps ask Gonzalo Higuain

Last week, we noted that new Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain had done what no player had done since the days of David Trezeguet: to score in five straight matches. By netting against Sassuolo, that makes it six, but he needs three more to match Trezeguet's total of nine consecutive games.

However, no player has scored more goals in the first 15 minutes than the Argentinian international. Five out of his 15 goals, in fact, have come in the early moments of the game, which is a record for any other player so far in Serie A.

5. No luck for Lazio in a frustrating evening at the Stadio Olimpico

On Saturday, Lazio took on Chievo. The Aquile were viewed as the heavy favorites to take advantage of the Flying Donkeys' poor away form, but unfortunately, it was not to be.

And not due to any lack of trying, either. Simone Inzaghi's troops fired shot after shot on goal, but to no avail as Chievo managed to snatch all three points with a last-gasp goal.

Having lost now two on the trot, Inzaghi will hope his side can re-find their footing as they will have to take on Inter in Coppa Italia action later this week.
