Captain Wayne Rooney has been suspended for this tie after picking up his fifth yellow card, but Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini are expected to return after serving their suspensions. Jose Mourinho could also give Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial a chance to replicate their impressive performance over the Hammers last Wednesday by naming them in the starting lineup, and not forgetting Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Analysis
The Goodison Park has always been a difficult venue for the Red Devils and this fixture comes at a time when Mou’s men are struggling in the league. On the other side, Everton are without a league win since October after starting their campaign on a high. Ronald Koeman is under pressure to steer the club under winning ways while the same case applies to Mourinho.
For a club (Man Utd) that spent more than 200 million pounds on the transfer market last summer, sitting at the seventh spot is not only embarrassing but flabbergasting. The fate of the Red Devils rests on Mourinho’s team selection on Sunday. For the sake of consistency, it would be great to retain the squad that beat Slaven Billic’s men on Wednesday, and reintroduce Pogba at the midfield for more balance. Otherwise, the more changes he makes to his squad, the lesser his chances of winning.
