The Chilean was the culprit, as the Gunners hammered four past the Black Cats.

If you are an Arsenal, the odds of you hating Alexis Sanchez are little if not none. Nonetheless, the Chilean ace gave the supporters more reason to love him in Saturday’s win over Sunderland.

The north London outfit headed to the Stadium of Lights having dropped two points in their previous English Premier League match. A win was needed, and it was none other than the South American sensation who set them on the path to victory.

The 27-year-old handed the away side the lead though a powerful header, despite being vertically challenged, as Wenger’s boys entered the break with a 1-0 lead.

Things got tricky for the north London outfit, as the hosts equalized through a penalty. However, Wenger’s crew scored three quick goals, with Sanchez netting the last of the four.

That brace from Arsenal’s number 7 was a special one, as it saw him reach 50 goals with the Emirates Stadium side. To put that into perspective, it took the Copa America winner 106 goals to reach that feat, two more than legend Thierry Henry.

Of course, Olivier Giroud grabbed the headlines as well. Making his return from injury, the Frenchman also scored a brace in the 4-1 win with his first and second touches of the game.
