Juventus fans were a furious lot when Miralem Pijanic’s goal was disallowed by the match officials after a brief consultation with each other. The goal would have seen the visitors head to the break leading the hosts in a thrilling match at the San Siro but it was never counted.
Several replays showed that indeed, the goal should have been allowed but Leonardo Bonucci was standing in front of the keeper hence the decision to consider him offside. The incident irked a good number of Juve fans on social media, with most of them claiming that the goal should have been allowed as there was no contact between Bonucci and the goalkeeper or the ball when Pnajic’ scored. Check out some of the reactions below.
Disallowed free kick goal for Juventus. Very controversial. Very fortunate for Milan

the #Juventus goal should have stood. the fact that it was given them disallowed due to #Milan players pressuring the ref is a disgrace!

Happy to see the disallowed goal by #Pjanic in #ACMilan against #Juventus; obvious case of offside players distracting the goalkeeper.
