The current Copa América holders want to get in shape to defend their title, and their friendly match against Jamaica will test their skills for the upcoming tournament.

Copa América kicks off next month, but some of the continent's top performers have to get in shape in order to leave a lasting impression in the centennial tournament.

One of those teams forced to make a good performance is Chile, a side that will try to re-validate the Copa América trophy won last year. In order to do so, coach Juan Antonio Pizzi will try to make the most out of his warmup games, and the first one will have them playing against the enigmatic Jamaica.

While La Roja gets to this tournament as one of the favorites to win it all, no one knows what to expect from Jamaica. Being paired against Venezuela, Mexico and Uruguay in Group A of the competition, Winfried Schäfer's side will most likely use this competition to get in shape for the CONCACAF Qualifiers, since the 2015 Gold Cup runners up are struggling to make it to the final round. Jamaica is currently ranked third in Group C of the CONCACAF Qualifiers behind Costa Rica and Panama, and one more loss could see them bid farewell to their chances.

This will be the first friendly match of two for Chile, with their next warmup game coming on June 1st, when Pizzi's crew faces Mexico. On the other hand, this will be the only warmup match for the Reggae Boyz prior to the start of the tournament.

Pizzi's men will certainly use this match to get a better idea of what their new coach wants from them. Following Jorge Sampaoli's sacking last year, the Spanish boss will be coaching his third match for La Roja, following his debut loss against Argentina and his 4-1 win against Venezuela. Facing Argentina, Bolivia and Panama in the Centennial tournament will be tough, and the former Barcelona player will surely find this game handy to establish how he wants his team to perform.

The team from the Caribbean will return to American soil after their historic Gold Cup performance last summer, which saw them losing the title match against Mexico. Some of their top performers were not available then, and fans around the U.S. will certainly find it attractive to watch Wes Morgan live. Leicester City's captain, along with Crystal Palace's Adrian Mariappa and Houston Dynamo's Giles Barnes will be the backbone of Schäfer's team this summer, and putting up a good show against the Chileans will be their main goal on Friday.
