The Mexican Clásico will hand out one more ticket to the semi-finals. Will hosts América take it, or will Chivas spoil their rivals' Centennial party?

The first game of the two-legged tie between bitter Mexican rivals América and Guadalajara ended with a goal-less draw last Thursday. This time, there has to be a winner, and fans at Azteca Stadium have to expect quite a showdown when both sides meet this Sunday.

This is the ninth time both teams have played against each other in the Mexican tournament's playoffs. Club América has edged Guadalajara six times, winning three of their most recent four meetings. Nevertheless, a good unbeaten streak by Chivas lately could give them the competitive edge over this year's CONCACAF Champions League winners.

Club América

The team from Mexico City gets to this match with no major injury concerns regarding their top players, but coach Ignacio Ambriz will have to make do without his best player: Rubens Sambueza. The talented Argentinean midfielder was sent off last Thursday, and his absence could be hard to overcome for Las Águilas. The good news for Ambriz come thanks to his left back, Miguel Samudio, who will surely earn a starting nod after serving a one match ban.

Sambueza's dribbling skills will be sorely missed by América.

Guadalajara

The team from Jalisco will want to show their worth at Azteca Stadium on Sunday afternoon, knowing that one away goal could make things way easy for them. In order to do that, they will have to step up their offensive game, since El Rebaño's strikers were only able to fire one shot on Hugo Gonzalez's net. Fortunately for them, goalkeeper Rodolfo Cota was the Man of the Match last Thursday, saving up to four shots to keep his net intact.

Coach Matias Almeyda, who will have to watch the game from the stands while serving a one match ban will also have to change his lineup, given that striker Angel Zaldívar will not be able to perform after picking up a red card last time out.

Rodolfo Cota started the tournament on the bench, but he is quickly becoming one of the most praised footballers' in Chivas' squad.
