The Blues' Spanish striker was also poked in the eye before the 2-2 draw ended in an ugly brawl.

Every time there is controversy or a scuffle involving Chelsea and its players, Diego Costa is almost certain to be involved. This was no exception on Monday, as the Spanish striker was caught up in an ugly scuffle at Stamford Bridge.

However, the player known for bullying others and getting away with it was the victim this time around, as the former Atletico Madrid ace was grabbed in the face during an altercation between both Chelsea and Tottenham players after the 2-2 draw.

Tempers flared, as the result ended Spurs’ hopes of lifting the Premier League crown, with Leicester officially being crowned champions as a result. Players and staffs from the two London giants clashed after the final whistle.

Furthermore, Blues interim boss Guus Hiddink was not even exempt from the chaos, as the Dutch tactician got caught up in the mess and was shoved into the dugout during the full-time clash.

This was not the only occasion in which a Chelsea and Tottenham player were involved in a messy run-in, as Diego Costa appeared to be poked in the eye by Mousa Dembele during the first-half of the London derby.

This all occurred after Eden Hazard and Co. fought back from 2-0 down to clinch a point, as the Belgian ace’s 83rd minute strike helped Chelsea avoid a home defeat.

As written by The Independent, the English FA is likely to slap both Chelsea and Tottenham with penalties, as the players involved in the bust-up are likely to be charged by the Football Association.
