The Reds face Stoke City at Anfield on Tuesday night and will be hanging onto their slim 0-1 win over the visitors in the first leg of the fixture. Interestingly, the German tactician has never lost a semi-final match in is managerial career but this time round, he is in charge of a weaker side compared to his previous club Borussia Dortmund.
The Anfield side can either decide to sit back and defend the slim win, which will be quite risky, or decide to play an attacking game in a bid to find a comfortable win to guarantee progression into the finals.

Jordon Ibe put the visitors ahead at the Britannia Stadium in the first leg of the fixture. 
The Reds will be inspired by the fact that Klopp has previously guided his former team, Dortmund, to semi-final victories against European bigwigs such as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Speaking about Liverpool’s prospects of reaching the finals of the League Cup, he explained:
"It is only a step."
"I never heard about second place in the League Cup. Does anyone know who it was four years ago?''
"Reaching a final is great but at the end it is only memorable when you win it and that is what you have to do.''
"Now there is only one target, go to the final and celebrate it more in your mind because in the real world we have another game on Saturday.''
"You should not waste the opportunity of winning something and I know for the players it is really important. They really want to go to the final."
If Klopp’s men progress to the final, they could face their bitter rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby. The Toffees will play the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday in a match that they will enjoy a 2-1 advantage over the hosts.
Speaking about the prospects of facing Everton in the finals, he added:
"I am the wrong person to ask this."
"Everyone in the city knows about the rivalry of these two clubs. Until now, when I met an Evertonian nobody knocked me, nobody kicked me.’’
"It is one of the best rivalries in world football because in a lot of parts we are together and in the sport we are against. That is cool. That is how it should be.’’
"Going to Wembley is the best thing you can do in football. Who the opponent is at this moment is not the biggest issue. But if it is Everton, we want to beat them.’’
Meanwhile, Nathaniel Clyne is doubtful for the clash after suffering a knee injury in the thrilling match against Norwich City last Saturday. However, Jon Flanagan could make his first start for Klopp’s men since May 2014 when he was sidelined due to injury.
