The FA will investigate the incidents occurred in the game between West Brom and Aston Villa at Villa Park. Fans from Villa ran on the pitch while some of Brom’s faithful were seen throwing seats twice during the game
Aston Vila reached the FA Cup semi-finals in for the first time in five years. Some of their fans celebrated ahead of the final whistle and chaos took over. The FA announced that it would investigate the incident along with the police and both clubs.
The game was stopped twice for incidents involving fans behavior
West Brom was concerned after the game. They pointed out that the safety of players and staff was clearly compromised at the end of the game. The visiting team admitted they would collaborate in the FA’s investigation.
Mark Roberts from Cheshire Police is the national lead officer for football policing and has already spoken about the incident. Roberts stated that neither team is considered to have a troublesome fan base.
“When you have that sort of fixture, late on a weekend, in particular, alcohol is a factor,” Roberts said.

After the game in which Villa won 2-0, their captain Fabian Delph claimed he was bitten in the incident. Brom's manager Tony Pulis was mostly mad at what his fans did with the seats at Villa Park.
“Those supporters should never come into another football ground,” Pulis said. “It’s like coming into someone else’s house - you have to show respect.”
How the invasion at Villa Park looked from the stands
The club that hosted the game already issued an apology to West Brom for the incidents. Villa is expected to receive a heavy fine for failing to control the crowd. The FA did not issue a timeframe for the investigation to conclude.
