The Premier League returns today, with Arsenal playing host to Hull City at the Emirates. For the Gunners, these are three valuable points, but they are also looking to put on a much needed positive performance.
With only two victories in the new domestic campaign, Arsene Wenger has not only struggled to find consistency, but they are also struggling with a number of injuries. Wenger and his medical staff will be happy that Theo Walcott and Serge Gnabry returned to action on Friday taking part in Arsenal's U-21 match, but they are still lacking match fitness for the first team.
If the Gunners are to earn their third triumph today, they will have to do it without the above mentioned players, as well as many others.
This match will also be the first team these two sides have met since Arsenal's comeback at Wembley Stadium in May. The Tigers let an early two goal lead slip away, allowing Arsene Wenger to raise yet another title with the North London side.
Arsenal's 10 points is Wenger's second worst start with the club and he will want to get back to winning ways today. But without Mesut Ozil who has been ruled out for three months, many football analysts and pundits are saying that the German's injury could be a blessing in disguise.
Will Ozil's absence make Wenger's team selection easier?
Steve Bruce will be relieved that the Gunners are dealing with a load of injuries, hopefully giving his side a chance to grab three points in London.
Hull have done well in the current campaign, earning themselves nine points, one less than Arsenal. And despite their off the field issues with their owner looking to change the team name, the players are performing well enough on the pitch.
On their travels to London, the Tigers have only won once from their last 12 matches, with two draws and nine defeats in the mix.
