Despite making a return to the club he referred to as his "second home", Kaka has been linked with a move away from Milan throughout parts of last season.
The Brazilian midfielder, who quickly became a Rossoneri fan favorite was instrumental in the team winning their 7th Champions League trophy in 2007 before moving on to Real Madrid in a deal worth nearly €70 million two years later.
Yet, he was largely unable to replicate the same form that saw him won the much coveted Ballon d'Or in 2007, and after four disappointing seasons, made a move back to Italy for the 2013-2014 season.
Homecoming: Although the Brazilian was welcomed back to Milan with open arms, he was unable to help them have a successful season
The Diavolo had a poor domestic campaign, failing to secure any kind of European football for the upcoming season and as a result, the team's management are keen to move on some of their higher wage earners as they to totally overhaul the squad for the future.
As per ESPN's Taylor Twellman, the 32-year-old's next destination will be the United States, with new MLS side Orlando City:

Kaka will not be the first European star to make the switch, as fellow new MLS team New York City FC recently secured the signature of Spanish striker David Villa.
