Commercial broadcaster Nine Network maintains exclusive broadcast rights to the UEFA Champions League in Australia until 2027 after renewing its previous deal. Under its contract with UEFA, Nine Network broadcasts all 203 Champions League matches. Viewers can stream the Champions League live in Australia via Stan Sport, Nine Network’s subscription OTT (over-the-top) streaming service.
Stan Sport subscribers can also watch bonus Champions League content, both live and on demand. Key features include full streaming of matches (live and replays) and dedicated football shows, including Champions League highlights and the Champions League magazine show.
Fans seeking highlights of games have several options: rapid recaps, which generally are five minutes or less; general highlights, about ten minutes or less; and mini-matches, which are highlights compiled into 20 to 25-minute overviews of games. Access to this auxiliary UEFA Champions League content is available either via Stan Sport’s website or via the Stan app in Australia.

2024-2027
Nine Network has extended its exclusive UEFA Conference League broadcast rights in Australia for an additional three years, covering the 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27 seasons. This allows fans in Australia to watch all 153 UEFA Conference League matches per season ad-free on the broadcaster’s streaming subscription service, Stan Sport, with select fixtures available in 4K Ultra HD.

2025-2028
Fans in Australia can watch selected Premier League matches live on 9Now and 9Gem as part of Nine Network's free-to-air rights. The agreement runs from the 2025-26 season until the end of 2027-28, offering limited coverage of the competition alongside Stan Sport's full package.
The matches on 9Now are streamed as simulcasts of Stan Sport's broadcast feed, while 9Gem provides the same games on television.

9Now is a livestreaming service operated by the Nine Network that was established in Australia in January 2016, replacing 9Jumpin. The platform offers online live streaming of various Nine Network-owned channels and networks, including Channel 9, 9Gem, 9Go!, 9Life, and 9Rush.Viewers can also stream live sports on 9Now in high definition (HD). Since its launch, the service has featured a wide range of sports, including swimming, basketball, rugby, and tennis.
Notable events to have featured on the platform include the National Rugby League, NWRL, Adelaide International Tennis, FINA World Championships, and the Davis Cup. Most significantly, 9Now has also aired live football matches, including the finals of UEFA’s three club competitions: the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.
These European finals have been broadcast for free on 9Now courtesy of Nine’s Wide World of Sports.
