About Supercopa de Chile
Supercopa de Chile History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage
The Supercopa de Chile is an annual club competition from Ecuador. It first saw the light in 2013 and has been organized by the Chilean Football Association.
The format of this competition sees the winner of the Chilean Primera División and the champions of the most recent Copa Chile, who face each other at a neutral venue. The game is used to kick off each year in Chilean football, meaning the game is held between January or February. If the same team wins the Primera División and the Copa Chile, the football association will invite either the runners-up in the Copa Chile, or the runner-up in the Primera División. Penalties are used to determine the winner of this title in the event of a draw.
Coverage of this competition has been awarded to TNT Sports, who earned broadcast and streaming rights to air the match until 2025.
