FOX have obtained the broadcast rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Costa Rica, following the launch of a brand-new channel in Central America.
As part of the launch of the new FOX channel, all broadcast rights previously owned by Tigo Sports in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama now belong to FOX.

As a result, the pay-TV platform now owns the rights in Costa Rica to all 104 World Cup matches from the opening match in Mexico City on 11 June through to the final in New Jersey on 19 July.
As per the previous arrangement with Tigo Sports, 32 of these matches will also be available on free-to-air television via Teletica Canal 7 in Costa Rica.
FOX’s coverage of the tournament in Costa Rica will include live Spanish-language commentary and analysis for every match. A large team of journalists and former professional footballers will provide this.
Away from television, FOX’s social media channels will publish match clips and keep fans up to date on the latest news and results from the tournament.
For World Cup streaming in Costa Rica, FOX subscribers can download the FOX One app, which can be downloaded for free onto iOS and Android devices in the country.
