Eleven Sports is a multinational group of sports channels owned and operated by Aser Ventures. It was launched in 2015 and was made available in Belgium and Luxembourg, but it would later be made available as both an OTT service and a linear TV platform in many countries around Europe.
The Polish division of Eleven Sports was launched on August 2, 2015 with two channels being available: Eleven and Eleven Sports. Two more channels would be added in 2016 to complete Eleven Sports’ offering in the country, and a necessary rebranding would take place then. Since 2016, the channels were relabeled as Eleven Sports 1, Eleven Sports 2, Eleven Sports 3, and Eleven Sports 4. It was initially owned by Aser Ventures, but a group called Telewizja Polsat bought 99% of the company’s shares.
Eleven Sports 1 is frequently referred to as the network’s most important channel since the top live events are usually programmed on this channel. It was originally known simply as Eleven. Over the years, Eleven Sports 1 has covered disciplines such as football and motorsports.
Speaking about football, Eleven Sports has covered domestic leagues such as the Spanish Primera División, the German Bundesliga, the French Ligue 1, the Portuguese Primeira Liga, and the Italian Serie A.
