Canal Plus maintains its non-exclusive French-language broadcast rights to the UEFA Champions League in sub-Saharan Africa from 2024 to 2027 following a three-year extension deal with UEFA. The pay-TV provider has the first pick of all Champions League games played on Wednesdays and the 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27 editions of the Champions League final.
Canal+ Afrique subscribers can watch some of Canal Plus’s live and on-demand streaming UCL content on the network’s website and on-the-go, through one of several monthly packages depending on their preference. Users must select at least the second-tier package ("Evasion") to access live UEFA Champions League games in sub-Sahara Africa on their TVs and other devices.

Canal+ has secured the media rights for the English Premier League (EPL) across multiple countries in the Sub-Saharan African region, spanning the 2022-23 to 2024-25 seasons. The deal covers Internet, Mobile and Television commercial broadcast rights.
This agreement permits Canal+ exclusive pay-TV broadcast rights in French-speaking territories within the Sub-Saharan region, covering all 380 EPL matches per season.
Canal+ subscribers can watch live EPL matches on CANAL+ SPORT linear channels and also via the CANAL+ app, which allows replays via on-demand access. The French-speaking countries in the Sub-Saharan African region include Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo (Republic of the Congo), Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guinea, Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire), Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, and Togo.
