Pochettino's side have been hit with another round of injuries at a terrible time as they prepare to welcome Nice on Saturday, February 13th.

Preview: PSG vs Nice

Currently in third place, PSG will be hoping to close the gap on league leaders Lille as they prepare to welcome Nice. Although Mauricio Pochettino fielded a slightly weakened side, PSG were still expected to cruise to victory against Ligue 2 side Caen. It took a second half goal from the in-form Moise Kean to prevent the capital giants from potentially suffering an embarrassing defeat. Yet, the victory came at a huge price: Neymar has now been ruled out for PSG's crunch clash with Barcelona following an injury.

Despite winning all but one of their last seven Ligue 1 games, PSG still have been unable to catch up and overtake a Lille side who have been simply outstanding this term. They also sit behind Lyon, who also have been enjoying a highly fruitful domestic campaign.

PSG come into this game having secured a vital 2-0 win over Marseille, with Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi doing enough to help Les Parisiens get revenge on their bitter rivals. They defeated Nice 3-0 in the reverse fixture, and will be looking to ensure they don't drop any further points as they bid to chase down the sides ahead of them in the table.

Meanwhile, Nice find themselves in 13th place, which is a far cry from the fifth-placed finish they earned last season. Currently coached by coached by Adrian Ursea following Patrick Viera's sacking on December 4th, Les Aiglons arrive at the Parc des Princes following a confidence-boosting 3-0 win over Angers, and successfully secured passage to the round of 32 following a 3-1 road victory against Nimes.

The visitors did lose 3-0 to Les Parisiens in the reverse fixture, but will be hoping to take advantage of PSG's growing injury list to secure what would be a first win in Paris since the 2009/2010 season.

Team news: PSG vs Nice

PSG: Worryingly for Pochettino, the list of injured players has started to grow at a most inopportune time. Star man Neymar is ruled out not just for this match, but their upcoming challenge against Barcelona in the Champions League. Fellow key player Angel Di Maria is also out and looks likely to also miss the upcoming Barcelona match.

In addition, Marco Verratti was injured during Le Classique and is a major doubt for this tie, while Keylor Navas isn't likely to play here in order to get him fit for their Champions League match next week. Finally, both Ander Herrera and Juan Bernat remain on the treatment table, meaning that Pochettino can't count on them to feature here.

Nice: Jordan Lotomba, Youcef Atal, Kasper Dolberg, and Jeff Reine-Adelaide are all out for the visiting side.
