About
TV3 MAX history, coverage, features
TV3 Max is a Danish television channel that is owned and operated by the Nordic Entertainment Group. The channel was launched under the name TV3 Sport 2 on February 5, 2013, but it would later be rebranded as TV3 Max and re-launched on October 31, 2017.
Since its launch, TV3 Max has been labeled as an entertainment channel, with its main target audience being men from 19 to 50 years of age. Along with the sports broadcasting rights previously acquired by TV3 Sport 2, the channel added comedy shows, TV series, movies, and more to its regular programming.
Speaking about sports, TV3 Max has focused on airing motorsports, tennis events, and football. Some of the football broadcasting rights owned by the channel over the years have included tournaments such as the Danish Superliga, the English Premier League, the Dutch Eredivisie, the German Bundesliga, and the Spanish Primera División, also known as La Liga. Cup tournaments such as the League Cup or the Coupe de France have also been aired on this channel. Added to those, TV3 Max has also been able to air games for the UEFA Champions League.
TV3 Max was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was developed and launched to improve the user’s experience. Both feeds may still be available in some regions of the country and via some pay-tv carriers.
