Sky Sport Bundesliga is part of the Sky Sport network. It is owned and operated by Sky Deutschland, who launched this channel for the 2007-2008 season.
As its name states, Sky Sport Bundesliga 1 has been the flagship channel for covering live Bundesliga games. Sky Sport’s coverage of the German top-flight began in 1993, but the network secured exclusive rights before the aforementioned season. Other competitions covered by Sky Sport Bundesliga 1 have included games for the 2. Bundesliga in the past. All games on this channel are broadcast live, while some others are made available via repeat broadcasts. According to Sky Sport Bundesliga’s website, the channel has aired over 500 games between the two competitions.
Other features on Sky Sport Bundesliga have included live and on-demand highlights, adding access to some press conferences and in-match video capabilities for some games.
Sky Sport Bundesliga 1 is available on both SD and HD. Some games may also be broadcast on Ultra HD/4K format, but those will be available when the user purchases the right package with the company.
