RTV Romania history, coverage, features
Romania TV is a Romanian television channel owned and operated by Ridzone Computers. The channel was launched on October 23, 2011 under the name RTV, but it would be rebranded to Romania TV on August 24, 2013, when its parent company at the time decided to change its logo.
Over the years, Romania TV has been known as an all-news channel, with different shows oriented to broadcast the up-to-date events in the country and in the world. The channel has been constantly criticized for its anti-nationalistic narrative, which has seen the channel being subject to quite a few sanctions in the past.
Speaking about sports, Romania TV may cover some of the main sporting events in the world via highlights, since the channel has not made a profit out of airing live sports events.
Romania TV was launched as a Standard Definition channel and continues to operate with such a feed. No plans to include a High-Definition feed of the channel have been revealed.
