History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage
The CONCACAF Boys' U15 Championship, formerly known as the CONCACAF U15 Championship, is a regional football tournament for under-15 teams from CONCACAF member countries. Founded in 2013, it is held every two years in August.
The competition features over 40 teams divided into three divisions. The first two divisions consist of four groups of four teams each, while the third division has three groups of three teams.
The group stage follows a single round-robin format, with each side playing every other team in their group. Matches last 70 minutes, divided into two 35-minute halves with a 10-minute interval. The top two teams from each group in Divisions 1 and 2 advance to the knockout stage. Each division holds its own final, but the Division 1 winner is recognized as the CONCACAF Boys' U15 Championship champion.
Honduras won the inaugural tournament in the Cayman Islands in 2013, defeating Guatemala for the title. The USA claimed its first gold medal in 2023, while Portugal became the first invited nation to win the championship, achieving success in 2019.
