Exclusive live commentary rights to the EFL Trophy, otherwise known as the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, belong to talkSPORT in the United Kingdom.The sports radio station has the rights to provide live commentary on up to ten matches from the competition each season, including the final, which is played at Wembley Stadium each season in the Spring.
In addition to live match coverage, talkSPORT also broadcasts a phone-in show after every EFL Trophy match for a live discussion with fans on the match and all other talking points from the world of football.
EFL Trophy programming is split between talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2. talkSPORT can be accessed via radio frequencies 1053 kHz and 1089 kHz, while talkSPORT 2 is only available through DAB.
Alternatively, football fans can listen to live EFL Trophy commentary through the talkSPORT website and app, which can be downloaded for free onto smart devices in the United Kingdom.

Talksport is an English radio station that broadcasts sports-related content 24 hours a day. It was launched on February 14, 1995 as TalkRadio, but it was later rebranded to its current name on January 17, 2000. Talksport is owned by the Wireless Group, a subsidiary of News Corp, which is a property of Rupert Murdoch.
Talksport’s programming has changed over the years, but it has managed to set a standard for proper sports coverage. In the past, Talksport has covered live sports such as football, rugby, cricket, horse racing, darts, golf, and the NFL. Added to their live sports coverage, Talksport has complemented its programming with discussion shows, and phone-ins. Talksport has expanded its sports coverage by offering content in Spanish and Mandarin outside the UK and Ireland, which represents its main target audience.
Speaking about football, Talksport has turned into a reference when it comes to broadcasting Premier League games. The radio station has also covered club competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, and the UEFA Super Cup. As for international tournaments, Talksport has aired FIFA World Cup games, UEFA European Championship matches, UEFA Nations League clashes, and several international games featuring the English National Football Team.
Talksport is available is four frequencies: 1089 kHz, 1053 kHz, 1071 kHz, and 1107 kHz. The radio station may also be available on some satellite and cable pay-tv services, as well as in the English terrestrial TV feed. Added to that, Talksport’s content is also available on mobile phones and online, but some of its live sports content may not be available due to rights restrictions.
