The Brasileirão Serie A is broadcast on TV Globo’s free-to-air network under a deal running from 2025-26 to 2028-29, following an agreement between the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and two club associations, LIBRA and LFU. This contract gives Globo the rights to air a limited number of matches per season, with at least three exclusive games per round available on free-to-air television.

Globo holds exclusive Copa do Brasil broadcast rights in Brazil in a deal spanning the 2023 to 2026 seasons. As a result, fans in Brazil can watch the majority of Copa do Brasil matches live on Globo networks, including pay-TV sports network SporTV.
It should be noted that while Globo secured the exclusive rights to the Copa do Brazil, the broadcaster sublicensed 54 games per season to Amazon Prime Video, 40 of which are exclusive.

Globo history, coverage, features
Globo is a free-to-air television network available in Brazil. The network was launched back in April 1965 by Roberto Marinho, and up until 2021, it was formally known as Rede Globo. Grupo Globo now owns the network.Within the Globo network is the national television channel, TV Globo, which launched at the same time as the network.
TV Globo’s programming traditionally focuses on news and general entertainment shows, including talk shows and reality television. Although sport plays less of a role in their programming, regular sports magazine shows have featured on the channel, including ‘Bora Pro Jogo’ and ‘Auto Esporte’.
TV Globo also has a history of owning the broadcast rights to several top football competitions. Over the years, matches from the German Bundesliga, the Copa Libertadores and the FIFA World Cup have appeared on the channel.
Live football coverage on Globo comes with Portuguese-language match commentary as standard, most commonly from renowned Brazilian commentator, Roger Flores.
In addition to being available on free-to-air television in Brazil, football fans in the country can stream the channel via Globoplay. This streaming platform is available online via all popular web browsers and via an app, which can be downloaded for free onto smartphones, tablets and all other compatible devices.
