Today, PSG clinched the league title...without even touching the ball.
As a result of Monaco's stalemate with Guingamp earlier, Les Parisiens were able to maintain their league crown due to the massive lead they had accumulated over last year's Ligue 2 champions.
This represents the fourth Ligue 1 title for the capital club, and more important, the first time in their history that they have successfully won back-to-back championships.
Naturally, the club's official Twitter was quick to celebrate the milestone...

...however, observers weren't so impressed as the team lost to Rennes at home:
PSG losing, but they're already champions after Monaco's draw earlier. Worst top-flight title race, after Bundesliga, this season. #Ligue1

However, one thing that did have the home crowd cheering was the return of talismanic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who not only leads Ligue 1's scoring charts with 25 goals but in assists as well. The Swedish international had been out of action since his team's Champions League clash with Chelsea on April 2nd.
Ibra returned to action in the second half, but was unable to steer his side to victory

Unfortunately, there were none of his trademark kung-fu goals during this match:

Despite seizing the lead early through Lavezzi's goal, their joy soon ended after the visitors fired in two quick goals to snatch all three points.
However, that didn't prevent them from celebrating after the final whistle:

With back-to-back league titles accomplished, the next step for the ambitious club is, of course, establishing themselves in Europe, and it remains to be seen whether they can go further in next season's Champions League.
