DAZN has retained its exclusive digital LaLiga rights in Portugal from 2024 until 2029. The subscription-based over-the-top (OTT) provider’s deal covers the 2024-25 to 2028-29 LaLiga seasons. DAZN has held LaLiga rights in Portugal since 2018 and notably acquired Eleven’s previous media coverage when it acquired that company in 2023. As per its five-year deal, DAZN streams all 380 LaLiga matches per season live and on-demand.

Subscribers in Portugal can choose from several packages, including DAZN BASE and DAZN TOTAL. The DAZN BASE option offers access to DAZN’s channels (DAZN 1-6), plus live and on-demand streaming of bonus LaLiga content such as replays, match analysis, and special football shows. However, some mobile phone providers do not offer access to the DAZN app if one opts to subscribe directly through their TV operators.

The DAZN TOTAL package, meanwhile, also offers access to all of DAZN’s channels that are broadcasting LaLiga games. Additionally, subscribers to the DAZN TOTAL option can stream further bonus content, including documentaries, while viewers choosing the DAZN TOTAL package can also access the DAZN app to stream games live and on-demand. Fans can subscribe to the DAZN TOTAL option directly via the DAZN app.

Both plans offer the option to subscribe every month and provide access to watch LaLiga games live on up to two devices at a time. LaLiga fans in Italy can select one of two subscription options: Standard and Plus. The Standard option allows viewers to watch live and on-demand matches simultaneously on two registered devices, provided they are connected to the same home network. Although fans can stream games while away from home, they can only do this when the other registered device is not in use. Meanwhile, the Plus option also allows viewers to stream LaLiga games live and on-demand on two registered devices. However, unlike the Standard option, the Plus option allows viewers to stream games away from home even when the other registered device is used at the home network.

In addition, viewers can watch LaLiga matches on DAZN 1 and DAZN 2 if they already have a Sky subscription with an active satellite decoder. Another option for watching games is tivùsat, which is available for fans whose internet connection is not strong enough to stream content. Fans who already don’t use tivùsat can purchase a device and activate the corresponding DAZN option.

Italian commercial television group Mediaset has secured a sub-licensing deal in Italy for La Liga with the league’s exclusive Italian broadcaster, DAZN. Under this deal, Mediaset has agreed to broadcast select key Spanish Primera Division matches on a co-exclusive basis alongside the sports streaming service, while DAZN remains the only broadcaster to air all 380 La Liga fixtures per year.

As a result, fans in Italy can watch six live La Liga games per season on Mediaset’s free-to-air channels, Canale 5 or Italia 1. This includes the Spanish Primera Division’s highest-profile fixtures, such as the iconic El Clásico between continental giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as the Madrid Derby between Real Madrid and their city rivals Atletico.

With Canale 5 and Italia 1 being free-to-air channels, Italian football fans can enjoy Mediaset’s La Liga coverage in HD at no cost. Viewers simply require a TV or decoder compatible with DVB-T2, or the TivùSat free-to-air Italian satellite TV platform.

Additionally, Canale 5 and Italia 1 are available through third-party IPTV, cable, and satellite TV providers in Italy, including Sky Italia, Sky GO, TIM Vision, and Vodafone TV. La Liga fans can also stream Mediaset’s La Liga coverage on the Mediaset Infinity streaming service.
