Birinci Divizionu geschiedenis, opzet, organisatie, media-aandacht

De Birinci Divizionu, ook bekend als de First Division in het Engels, is de tweede divisiecompetitie in Azerbeidzjan. Opgericht in 1992, wordt de competitie georganiseerd door de Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA). De kampioenen verdienen automatische promotie naar de Azerbeidzjaanse Premier League, het hoogste kampioenschap van het land.
