Stalemate at the top as HJK put five past Jaro on Veikkausliiga's return

There were no goals between the top two sides Inter Turku and AC Oulu as the Veikkausliiga resumed following the June international break, but there were seven at Jaro and HJK scored five of them to make ground on the top three.

Inter Turku will end May still top of the Veikkausliiga, but now by only three points after they were held to a draw by KuPS and second-placed AC Oulu capitalised by beating Jaro.
