Azam TV holds non-exclusive rights to broadcast La Liga in Botswana, Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The deal between the Sub-Saharan pay-TV platform and La Liga came into effect in 2024 and runs until the end of he 2028-29 season.

La Liga coverage on Azam TV is spread across the platform’s four sports linear TV channels, and it isn’t limited to just live matches. Azam Sports also has the rights to provide subscribers in Sub-Saharan Africa with match highlights, analysis, interviews and behind-the-scenes content.

La Liga live streaming in Sub-Saharan Africa is available through Azam TV Max, which can be accessed through a web browser and/or a mobile phone app. The app can be downloaded for free onto all iOS and Android devices.

La Liga programming on Azam TV is available in multiple languages, including English.

StarTimes has acquired non-exclusive linear and digital LaLiga rights in multiple sub-Saharan African territories until 2029. The deal between the Chinese pay-TV provider and LaLiga covers the 2024-25, 2025-26, 2026-27, 2027-28, and 2028-29 seasons. Countries covered in this multi-year agreement include: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Commentary is available in several languages, including English, Portuguese, and other local languages. All 380 LaLiga games are shown live and in HD on StarTimes’ Sports Premium channels, while some matches, depending on locations, are also shown on the Sports Life channel. Live and on-demand streaming of LaLiga games and highlights on multiple platforms is accessible using the StarTimes ON app, which is downloadable for Android and iOS devices via Google Play or the App Store.

SuperSport retains its non-exclusive LaLiga media rights in sub-Saharan Africa after extending its prior TV deal. The South African commercial broadcaster covers the following countries, in addition to South Africa: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mayotte, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Reunion, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

SuperSport subscribers can watch and stream LaLiga games live in Africa on multiple platforms due to the network’s partnership with DStv. Supported streaming devices include: mobiles and tablets (Android, iOS, and Huwaei), smart TVs (Hisense, LG, Samsung, and Android TV), laptops and desktop computers (PCs and Macs in web browsers), streaming devices (Amazon Fire TV, Nvidia Shield, and Xiaomi Mi Box), and gaming consoles (Xbox). Viewers seeking both TV broadcast and streaming coverage must ensure that they also purchase a DStv dish, with games shown on SuperSport’s linear channels.

Select African countries, including South Africa, also broadcast some LaLiga games on SuperSport’s Portuguese-language channels: SuperSport MáXimo 1, SuperSport MáXimo 3, and SuperSport MáXimo 360. DAZN operates the official LaLiga Channel worldwide through a two-season partnership covering 2025-26 and 2026-27. The channel is free to access globally and is available only on the DAZN platform.

Programming includes matchday highlights of every game, LaLiga-produced content, and additional non-live formats. The service is positioned alongside DAZN's existing football properties, which feature UEFA competitions, FIFA+ programming, Serie A, Bundesliga, and the J.League.

DAZN already holds live LaLiga rights in Spain and carries coverage in markets such as Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Japan, and Belgium. The LaLiga Channel adds a global highlights package to those existing agreements.

In Kenya, fans can watch live matches on GOtv, available on both TV and streaming platforms. Coverage is confirmed for season 2025/2026.
