Турнир начинается с предварительного этапа, в котором команды низших дивизионов борются за выход в следующий раунд. В этом этапе четыре команды проходят дальше. Затем к ним присоединяются 36 клубов из всех категорий, за исключением Примеры. На этом этапе 20 победителей каждой игры на выбывание проходят дальше, и к ним присоединяются команды Примеры в третьем раунде. Команды играют матчи на вылет, и в случае ничьей после 90 минут победитель определяется в серии пенальти. Финальный матч проводится на нейтральном поле.

Права на освещение этого соревнования получила компания Tigo Star. Она обеспечила эксклюзивные права на трансляцию турнира по телевидению и через стриминговые сервисы до 2025 года.
