K League 1 History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage
The K League One is the men's top professional football championship in South Korea. The competition, which began in 1983, typically takes place from March until December. Up to 12 teams participate in this league, with the first-placed side being crowned champion and the bottom club being relegated to the K League Two – the team second from bottom enter a relegation playoff.
