About UEFA Regions' Cup
UEFA Regions' Cup History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage
The UEFA Regions’ Cup is a competition for amateur teams in Europe. The tournament, which is held biennially, was founded in 1996 but took place for the first time in 1999. It succeeded the UEFA Amateur Cup, the European football governing body’s previous attempt at a continental amateur competition that ran from 1966 to 1978.
All of UEFA’s 55 member nations are permitted one representative amateur team. If a club wishes to participate, they must win a domestic amateur competition in order to be eligible to compete in the Regions’ Cup. Europe’s smaller countries can enter a representative national team.
