About Copa Constitució

Copa Constitució History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage

The Copa Constitució (also known as the Andorran Cup) is an annual national football competition. It first started play in 1991 after being founded in 1990, and is organized by the Andorran Football Federation, and since the start of the 1994/95 campaign, the Copa Constitució has also been affiliated with both FIFA and UEFA.

The winner of the Copa Constitució gains an automatic right to take part in the UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying rounds. Santa Coloma, UE Sant Julià, and CE Principat are among the most successful teams in the history of the Copa Constitució.

TV Andorra was the first entity to gain broadcast rights for the Copa Constitució, and held these media rights until the 2000s, when Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra successfully acquired broadcast rights in a multi-year deal. In 2017, Futbol Andorra, which is affiliated with the Andorran Football Federation, purchased the TV broadcast rights for the Copa Constitució and since then, has provided TV broadcasts and live-streaming for the Copa Constitució as one of the tournament’s main broadcasters.
