FIFA World Cup (2026)Norwegian pay-television broadcaster TV2 has agreed a media rights deal with FIFA for the men’s 2026 World Cup. TV2 will collaborate with NRK for their 2026 World Cup coverage and is expected to cover their share of matches live in high definition on television. TV2 is additionally expected to cover World Cup highlights, as well as complementary programming around the tournament.

Spain - La Liga (2021-2026)Commercial broadcaster TV2 has acquired Norwegian rights to the Spanish La Liga until 2026. The deal, which begins at the start of the 2021/22 season, will run for five years. TV2 will show all 380 La Liga matches every season.
UEFA Youth League (2021-2024)
Norway - 2. Divisjon (2023-2028)TV2 has secured domestic TV and digital rights to Norway’s third football division. The broadcaster will show 2. divisjon matches live on television and online from 2023 till 2028, following a massive six-season deal reported to be worth half a billion dollars.
Norway - OBOS-ligaen (2023-2028)TV2 has acquired domestic TV and digital rights to the Norwegian First Division, in a deal that will run from 2023 to 2028. The six-season agreement was part of a major decision to cover Norway’s men and women’s domestic football action on television and through digital platforms. TV2 will telecast live First Division matches, while also providing streams online.
Norway - Toppserien (2023-2028)TV2 has acquired domestic media rights to the Toppserien, Norway’s top female football division. The multi-platform broadcaster struck a deal with the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) to show live Toppserien matches on TV and digital platforms from 2023 to 2028. TV2 was reported to have paid over $20 million for the Toppserien rights back when the deal was announced in 2020.

TV2 Sport History, Coverage, Features
TV2 Sport 1 is a Norwegian television channel owned and operated by TV2 Zebra, a joint venture between TV2 and Telenor Broadcast Holding. The channel was launched on March 24, 2007 and quickly developed into a reference for sports fans in the country.
Over the years, TV2 Sport has covered a wide variety of disciplines, including sports such as football, ice hockey, handball, cycling, and more. The channel has covered both domestic and international competitions to keep fans glued to their TV sets.
Speaking about football, TV2 Sport 1 has covered both national team football and club competitions. Some of the club tournaments covered by this channel over the years have included the Italian Serie A, the English Premier League, the UEFA Europa League, and the Allsvenskan. When it comes to national team football, the channel has covered tournament such as the UEFA Nations League, the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the African Cup of Nations, and qualifying games for the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro.
TV2 Sport was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was developed and launched in 2013, which eventually took over for the SD option. Now, users who do not have access to HD technology may watch the channel on a downscaled version of the HD feed.
