TV2 will collaborate with NRK for their 2026 World Cup coverage and is expected to cover their share of matches live in high definition on television. TV2 is additionally expected to cover World Cup highlights, as well as complementary programming around the tournament. |

TV2 Sport History, Coverage, Features
TV2 Sport 1 is a Norwegian television channel owned and operated by TV2 Zebra, a joint venture between TV2 and Telenor Broadcast Holding. The channel was launched on March 24, 2007 and quickly developed into a reference for sports fans in the country.
Over the years, TV2 Sport has covered a wide variety of disciplines, including sports such as football, ice hockey, handball, cycling, and more. The channel has covered both domestic and international competitions to keep fans glued to their TV sets.
Speaking about football, TV2 Sport 1 has covered both national team football and club competitions. Some of the club tournaments covered by this channel over the years have included the Italian Serie A, the English Premier League, the UEFA Europa League, and the Allsvenskan. When it comes to national team football, the channel has covered tournament such as the UEFA Nations League, the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the African Cup of Nations, and qualifying games for the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro.
TV2 Sport was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was developed and launched in 2013, which eventually took over for the SD option. Now, users who do not have access to HD technology may watch the channel on a downscaled version of the HD feed.
