SBS 9 is a Dutch television channel owned and operated by the Talpa Network. The channel’s first broadcast came on January 1, 2015, and it saw the light after a two-year struggle by its owners to add one more channel to their offer.
SBS 9 has frequently been categorized as a general entertainment channel with its main target audience being women. Films and TV series have frequently dominated the channel’s programming, with the network trying to focus on a specific genre for each day of the week. Such genres have included comedy, action, drama, and romance over the years.
