RTVS Live history, coverage, features
RTVS Live is an online platform owned and operated by the Radio and Television service of Slovakia, or RTVS. The service was made available to bring the content produced by the company closer to newer generations in the early 2010s.RTVS operates via a website and has included all three channels that are operated by the company: Jednotka, Dvojka, and Trojka. Added to that, users can also choose to listen to one of the company’s radio stations, since all of them have been made available to listen live at one point in history.
Added to the possibility of streaming live content, RTVS Live has also included an archive of the shows that have been previously aired on the company’s networks, although their availability on the website will be limited after the show’s original broadcast.
The site can also be used as an information source, as news articles and even the channel’s television schedule may also be found in a specific section.

Parent company ownership and structure
RTVS Live is owned and operated by Radio and Television of Slovakia.
Slovak Television and Radio (Slovak: Slovenská televízia a rozhlas), in short STVR is a nationwide public broadcasting, state-funded organization in Slovakia. Its headquarters are located in Bratislava. Radio and Television of Slovakia (RTVS) was created in 2011 following a merger of Slovenská televízia (Slovak Television) with Slovenský rozhlas (Slovak Radio). On 1 July, 2024 RTVS was transformed into new organization named Slovak Television and Radio (STVR). STVR operates four channels: :1 (Jednotka): Includes major sports events on both club and international levels, alongside family-oriented programming, Slovak movies, and documentaries. :2 (Dvojka): Covers minor sports events, documentaries, and classic foreign films in their original versions with Slovak subtitles. :24 (24): A news channel focusing on news and current affairs, occasionally supplemented by sports-related content. ŠPORT: Launched in 2021, ŠPORT is a 24-hour sports channel featuring live sports events, sports news, lifestyle programs, and archival materials, with emphasis on regional sports.
