RTRS TV is a Serbian television channel owned and operated by the Serbian Republic Television System, a branch of the Serbian government. The channel was launched on April 19, 1992 under the name Канал С, but after a short period in which it was also known as TB PC, the channel would take the name RTRS TV.
Over the years, RTRS TV has been known as a public service channel due to its links with the Serbian government. Show on this channel have covered topics such as news, documentaries, movies, children’s programming, sports, talk shows, and more. Most of the content aired on this channel has been produced in-house, but there have been some international productions also being aired on this channel as time has gone by.
Speaking about sports, RTRS TV has covered topics such as football, basketball, ice hockey, volleyball, tennis, and more. Most of the content aired on the channel has had something to do with Serbian national teams or athletes. When it comes to football, the channel has covered activity related to the country’s national teams in events such as the FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Euro, and Qualifying matches.
RTRS was launched as a Standard Definition channel. Plans to include a High-Definition feed have not been made public by its parent company. Since its launch, the channel has been available in Serbia and in neighbor countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and more.
