RCTI+ History, Coverage, Features
RCTI+ is an Indonesian mobile application and video-on-demand streaming platform owned and operated by MNC Media. The service was launched on August 24, 2019 to give fans a chance to follow their content while on the go. The service has included content to all channels owned by MNC Media.
Over the years, RCTI+ has been known as a catchup service and as a way to watch live events via a mobile device or a computer. Some of the content streamed on the platform has included news, films, TV series, soap operas, and sports. Added to that, RCTI+ has also included a service to play games and radio content such as podcasts, audio books, and live radio shows from networks operated by MNC Media, while also including exclusive content that has been developed entirely for this platform.
Speaking about sports, RCTI+ has streamed both club and national team football, along with other disciplines such as biking, and athletics. When it comes to football RCTI+ has covered tournaments such as the Italian Serie A, the English FA Cup, the French Ligue 1, the AFC Champions League, the AFC Cup, and the AFF Championship, to name a few. The platform has become known for streaming games for all Indonesian national teams and clubs whenever playing an international competition.
RCTI+ has been available to stream content on the most popular web browsers operating in the world since its launch. Added to that, the platform may also be accessed on mobile devices working with Androi and iOS, thanks to the mobile apps made available for those purposes. A fast internet connection is suggested for users who want to enjoy RCTI+’s content in High-Definition.
