About
Moji History, Coverage, Features
Moji is an Indonesian free-to-air television channel owned and operated by Surya Citra Media. This channel was launched on August 2, 2004 while owned by MRA Media, and has quickly established itself as one of the most popular digital channels in Indonesia. It was previously known as O Channel; however, it was rebranded in August 2022 as Moji.
Over the years, Moji has gone from being a general entertainment channel to focusing on specific themes to broadcast content. Some of the types of shows covered on this channel have included sports, variety shows, contest shows, reality shows, travel and leisure programs, culinary shows, and more. Most of the content aired on this channel has been broadcast in Indonesian, but there may be some shows produced in other countries that may be aired in their original language.
When it comes to sports, Moji has aired a variety of disciplines over the years. Sports such as football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and motorsports have been aired on this channel. Speaking entirely about football, Moji has covered club competitions such as Liga 1, Liga 2 and international tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Europa Conference League, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup, among other competitions. Following its rebranding in 2022, Moji received a significant boost among its viewers, after it was announced that it was going to broadcast the FIFA World Cup that year.
Moji started out as a Standard Definition (SD) channel, but a High Definition (HD) feed became the primary option to watch the channel in the second half of the 2010s. A downscaled version of the HD feed is available to those users who do not have access to this technology in certain regions of the country.
