About Spor Smart
Spor Smart is a sports television channel from Turkey owned and operated by the Demirören Holding. It was launched as Smart Spor on December 24, 2011, but its name would change to Spor Smart years later.
Spor Smart has made a name for itself by airing top-caliber sports competitions. Disciplines covered by this channel over the years have included football, basketball, motorsports, and American wrestling events. All the content aired on this channel is available in Turkish language.
Speaking about football, the channel has covered a wide variety of local tournaments such as La Liga, the Scottish Premier League, the Italian Serie A, and the DFB-Pokal. International tournaments covered by the network have included the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League, among other tournaments.
Although Spor Smart was laiunched as a Standard Definition channel, a High-Definition feed was made available to its users on January 6, 2012. Both feeds coexisted for a number of years, but the SD feed was dropped by the company. The channel’s HD feed has been available in Turkey and in neighboring countries such as Cyprus.
