LA7 History, Coverage, Features
LA7 is an Italian television network owned by Cairo Communication. It was launched in June 2001 and was previously known as Telemontecarlo. La7 broadcasts in high definition (1080i), while maintaining a downscaled SDTV feed (576i).
Available terrestrially, via cable and satellite, LA7 may be accessed in other countries in Europe, including Albania, Croatia, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino, Slovenia and Vatican City. La7’s programming over the years has consisted of entertainment TV shows, TV series, cartoons, movies and talk shows, as well as news programs. However, La7 also has a history as a sports broadcaster, with notable events such as the Six Nations Championship and Super Bowl making it on the network. Soccer fans in the past have enjoyed coverage of the major competitions, such as the Coppa Italia and Spanish Super Cup.
