Mtv is a free-to-air streaming service owned and operated by the Telia Company. It was launched on March 2, 2009 under the name MTV3 Katsomo, but that denomination would only be used for two years, since it would the named Katsomo in 2011. Then, Katsomo was later rebranded to MTV Katsomo from 2013 until 2017, when its name was changed simply to mtv.
Over the years, mtv has been known for offering live news broadcasts, TV series, movies, and more, all of it coming from the free-to-air channels associated to MTV3. Users may require registration to stream the content available on this platform.
Most of the content that could be streamed on mtv was removed from the platform when another streaming service, C More, was made available to Finnish users. All paid content was moved to the previously mentioned platform, while all free-to-air content was kept on mtv’s servers.
Users who want to stream content on mtv may do so via the most popular web browsers and on mobile phones and tablets.
