Kanal 7 is a Turkish television channel owned and operated by the New World Media Group. It was launched on July 27, 1994. It is considered as a general entertainment channel due to the large variety of topics it has covered over the years.
Like many Turkish channels, Kanal 7 has made a name for itself with its news broadcasts. Furthermore, the channel has also covered topics such as religion, lifestyle, and TV series. Films from around the world have also found airtime on this channel as time has gone by.
Speaking about sports, the channel has only provided coverage for certain events via highlights. Being a general entertainment channel, Kanal 7 has barely had any sports coverage over the years.
Kanal 7 was launched as a Standard Definition channel, but a High-Definition feed was added to the channel’s offer on September 18, 2014. The HD feed has the same shows as the Standard Definition option.
