Before this current deal, Canal Plus shared some of its Champions League broadcast rights with beIN Sports France in an arrangement that saw the network have the first-choice pick of 34 Champions League matches per season. 2022-2025
Canal Plus has retained its exclusive linear and digital English Premier League rights in France from 2022 to 2025. The commercial broadcaster first acquired Premier League rights in 2019 after taking over from streaming service RMC Sport, owned by Altice Media until its sale in 2024. All 380 matches from the 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25 Premier League seasons are covered on Canal Plus’s linear and digital platforms live and on-demand.
Subscribers can select from different broadcast and live-streaming packages, which offer the option to pay monthly or commit to a full 24-month contract. Packages range from the basic “Canal+” option, which includes two Premier League games per matchday, to the “Canal+ Sport” bundle, which provides coverage of all ten Premier League games per round.
