About beIN SPORTS MAX 2
beIN Sports Turkey is a network of pay-tv channels owned and operated by the beIN Media Group and Digiturk. It was launched on September 4, 2000 and was briefly known as Isik TV. It would start working under its current name on November 26, 2001. Some of the channels that have been included in the network are beIN Sports 1, beIN Sports 2, beIN Sports 3, beIN Sports 4, beIN Sports 5, beIN Sports Max 1, beIN Sports Max 2, and beIN Sports Haber. Added to the terrestrial channels, the company has also developed an online streaming service known as beIN CONNECT Turkey.
Over the years, beIN Sports Turkey has focused on broadcasting the most popular sports in the world. Some of the disciplines covered by the network over the years have included football, basketball, and tennis, to name a few. Additional coverage to live events has been provided with news and highlights shows.
beIN Sports Max 2 Turkey has frequently been referred to as an overflow channel since it is only made available when two or more live events are taking place at the same time. It was launched on February 20, 2017 as Channel 92, but it would be changed to beIN Sports Max 2 later that year. The channel has aired all types of sports the company has acquired broadcasting rights to, but with a special attention to airing games for the Turkish First League, the second most relevant football league in the country.
beIN Sports Max 2 started airing content in High-Definition. Years later, the network developed an Ultra HD feed, which has been downscaled to HD and SD to fit their subscribers’ needs.
