ABC Local Radio is an Australian network of radio stations owned and operated by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. These stations broadcast their content across the country via terrestrial and satellite transmitters. Local stations are often named as the flagship ABC radio stations in their areas. 

Programming in all of ABC’s local radio stations might include news, current affairs, entertainment, sport, music, local affairs, talkback, and more. ABC Local Radio divides the Australian territory in seven regions: New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, Western Australia, and Northern Territory.

ABC Local Radio New South Wales is one of seven regions in which the entire Australian territory is divided. The New South Wales division operates with thirteen regional stations: ABC Broken Hill (2NB), ABC Central Coast – Gosford (2BLT), ABC Central West – Orange (2CR), ABC Coffs Coast – Coffs Harbour (2MMR), ABC Illawarra – Wollongong (2ILA), ABC Mid North Coast – Port Macquarie (2KP), ABC Newcastle – Newcastle (2NC), ABC New England North West – Tamworth (2NU), ABC North Coast – Lismore (2NNR), ABC Riverina – Wagga Wagga (2RVR), ABC South East NSW – Bega (2BA), ABC Upper Hunter – Muswellbrook (2UH), and ABC Western Plains – Dubbo (2WPR).
