After a short hiatus, the 109th edition of the annual Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup resumes action on Tuesday, May 21st. A total of 16 teams remain at this stage, including quite a few amateur sides. This season's installment of this competition will see a new winner, as reigning champions Houston Dynamo were eliminated in the round of 32 following a shocking defeat to second-tier outfit Detroit City.

When does the round of 16 in the 2024 U.S. Open Cup get underway?
The round of 16 in the 2024 U.S. Open Cup will be taking place on Tuesday, May 21st and concluding on Wednesday, May 22nd.
One of the earliest matches involves Charleston Battery vs Atlanta United kicking off at 7 pm EST (4 pm PST), while one of the latest of the eight matches being played on Wednesday will be a 10:30 pm EST (7:30 pm PST) match starring Seattle Sounders vs Phoenix Rising.
All in all, all eight games being played on May 21st and May 22nd in the round of 16 will be kicking off anytime between 7 pm EST and 10:30 pm EST.
