The Frenchman's days are seemingly numbered at Manchester United.

Philippe Lamboley, the agent of Anthony has reportedly put clubs on red alert with his latest comments suggesting that Manchester United is yet to make headway in their contract negotiations with his client. The 23-year-old attacker has been on top form for the Red Devils this season.

Currently standing as the English club's top scorer this season, Martial has registered eight goals and five assists across all competitions. The former AS Monaco starlet's current contract ends at July 2019 and Manchester United, in recent months, have reportedly been in discussions to offer the player an extension.

With headway yet to be made, Jose Mourinho's side will resort to activating the player's one-year extension clause to prolong his stay till 2020. While fans would want the English outfit to keep hold of one of its hottest prospects, the player's agent has revealed that the club and his client are worlds apart with regards to an agreement being reached.

"I am very pessimistic about discussions going positively," he told RMC.

"They've already made several offers that come nowhere near to what we expect."

Anthony Martial is among a few other top players which could leave the Manchester club with their contract coming to an end in the years ahead. The list features Spanish trio David De Gea, Ander Herrera, and Juan Mata. The loss of De Gea could be quite catastrophic and, in a bid to curb that, the Red Devils are said to be preparing a 400,000 pounds-per-week deal that will make the Spaniard the top-paid goalkeeper in the world.

Premier League pair Chelsea and Arsenal are said to be keeping a keen eye on Anthony Martial's status at Manchester United as they are both interested in adding him to their ranks.
